TranslatorsSARAH DU PONT is a sophomore at International School Bangkok. She has has served as Parallel Ink’s English-Thai translator since April 2013. She loves playing all kinds of sports such as volleyball, tennis, touch rugby, and softball. Sarah enjoys learning new languages, and is able to speak four languages including English, Thai, Japanese, and Spanish.
JENIFFER PARK is a translator for parallel ink. ELAINE PARK's writing has recently been published in a youth international cultural magazine, Skipping Stones; her work has also been published in Parallel Ink's first issue. Elaine is fluent in Korean, despite never having lived in Korea. In the past, she has placed first at Korean translation and writing competitions in the Midwest and Northwest regions. She has also recently won first place at the 18th Annual Korean Speech Contest Northwest region. When she manages to find free time amidst her busy schedule and heavy coursework, Elaine loves to play the viola, watch Korean entertainment and movies, or doodle. MADINA MALAHAYATI is a stressed out student trying to find some sense of meaning in this fleeting plane of dimension by dipping her fingers in anything that remotely interests her. Born and raised in the concrete forest that is Greater Jakarta, she writes, draws, and spends her time cataloging books about space and brains that she probably should read soon but pretends to not have time for. She's been published in The Murmur Journal, Rambutan Literary, and Werkloos Mag, among others. CINDY QIU is a Chinese American who has been attending art classes for a long time. She is currently attending the AP Art Drawing course in school. She also loves filmmaking and photography. She is currently submerged in the art of modern artists Tom Pfannerstill and Liane Lang. |
